The Affiliate Membership Program is open to organizations in a country with a developing economy without a National Committee or Associate National Committee. Eligible organizations in a country are either the National Standards Body or National Metrology Institute of a country, only one orgnization can be the AM of a given country.
The program shall enable developing and newly industrializing countries to participate in the work of the CIE and to benefit fully from its International Standards and its scientific expertise. Affiliate Members can participate in the technical work of the CIE but do not have the right to vote.
