On June 11, 2024, the Association française de l'éclairage (AFE) awarded the prestigious Jean Augustin Fresnel Medal to three esteemed members of the CIE French National Committee for their groundbreaking contributions to the field of lighting and illumination:
- Laurent Canale from the Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III
- Enoch Saint Jacques from the Université Gustave Eiffel
- Christophe Martinsons from the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment)
