Call For Contributions
We look forward to welcoming you to Vienna, celebrated for its cultural richness and recognised as one of the world’s finest hubs of musical excellence, to join us in the CIE’s Midterm Meeting. The CIE Midterm Meeting features the CIE 2025 Scientific Conference, to be held from July 7-9, 2025. This three-day conference brings together the CIE community and its stakeholders to advance the science of light and lighting, as well as the technical and organizational work of the CIE. The scientific conference will be preceded by the CIE General Assembly and other administrative meetings from July 4-6, 2025, and followed by the CIE Division and Technical Committee (TC) meetings on July 10-11, 2025.
The CIE is the peak global organisation devoted to worldwide cooperation and exchange of information on all matters related to science and the art of light and lighting, colour and vision, photobiology and image technology.
At the upcoming conference, all six Scientific Divisions will address key topics, including the influence of digital advancements and AI on lighting, controls, and measurement. We welcome contributions across the full scope of CIE topics covered by our Divisions.

Exhibiton and Sponsorship
This key CIE event would not be complete without an exhibition platform – a place for exhibitors to share products or service information and for visitors, to provide opportunities to connect, and for business exchange to take place.
As an exhibitor or sponsor, you have the opportunity to market yourself to an international audience of those involved in the research, development and application of lighting technologies, from teaching and research professionals, to utility practitioners who are applying lighting solutions around the world. Having an exhibitor’s stand with your company information has many advantages. It will be located in the refreshments area, and will ensure a good flow of traffic. You get the chance to demonstrate your products and have opportunities to interact with many technical experts including students.
Depending on the level of sponsorship, you will be given complimentary advertising space, and display of your logo in various publications and around the conference venue, and of course your company presence on the conference website. A brochure for the exhibition and sponsorship opportunites at CIE 2025 has been prepared.
