Summer school – Measurement and characterisation of non-uniform appearance (texture) using sensors

-
Université Bourgogne Europe, ImVia laboratory, Dijon, France

CIE experts Hermine Chatoux (Université Bourgogne Europe, ImViA, CIE Division 8: Image Technology) and Noël Richard (Université de Poitiers, XLIM, CIE Division 8: Image Technology) in collaboration with the HR2S network, are organising a summer school at Université Bourgogne Europe in Dijon from 16 to 20 June 2025.

About

Come and find out more about the ImViA laboratory in Dijon during the week of 16–20 June. This school combines theoretical and practical courses, allowing you to acquire all the knowledge and skills you need to start or enhance your expertise in measuring and characterising the textured appearance of surfaces or volumes. It focuses on the concepts of metrology applied to multivalued images (colour, multispectral, hyperspectral, multimodal), with applications ranging from industrial quality control to medical and airborne/aerospace imaging.

This training will focus on measurement techniques and sensor-based characterisation of non-uniform appearance (texture), offering participants access to experimental facilities and practical sessions. Social events will also provide networking opportunities to connect with experts and researchers.

Key Dates:
