The Eleventh Conference on Lighting (Lighting 2026) will take place from 4 to 6 June 2026 as a hybrid event. Authors and participants may join in person in Sozopol, Bulgaria or online from anywhere in the world. The working language of the conference is English.
Lighting 2026 is organized under the auspices of the CIE National Committee for Lighting in Bulgaria (NKO), technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Bulgaria Section, and financially co-sponsored by the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. NKO is an independent non-profit association with over 50 years of history and, as a member of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), follows CIE policy in the science of light and lighting, color and vision, photobiology, and related areas.
The Conference on Lighting is an annual event organized by the CIE NC Bulgaria, providing a dedicated forum for researchers and lighting professionals to present current research, share expertise, and discuss emerging developments and future directions in lighting and lighting technologies. Conference topics will focus on the following areas:
- Indoor and outdoor lighting
- Light sources
- Lighting design and photometric studies
- Lighting control systems
- Health effects and environmental issues
- Standardization in lighting technology
The program will feature paper presentations, poster sessions, and an exhibition by participating companies. All submitted papers will be reviewed by leading experts aligned with the conference themes.
