Oulu, Finland

The CIE is pleased to announce an informal networking gathering with the CIE Finnish National Committee (NC Finland) during the upcoming LUCI Cities & Lighting Summit in Oulu, Finland. The meeting will take place on Thursday, 26 February.

This gathering provides a dedicated space for open exchange and professional connection in a relaxed atmosphere. The gathering provides an opportunity for NC Finland members to engage directly with Dr. Diana Wernisch, CIE Secretary General, as well as representatives of the CIE technical leadership, including the Technical Management Board and Division Management Team. It highlights the active role of NC Finland within the CIE, both internationally and nationally, and strengthens collaboration across CIE’s network.

Participants attending the informal gathering include Dr. Aleksanteri Ekrias, President of the CIE NC Finland and an active contributor to multiple CIE Technical Committees, providing expertise and leadership to CIE’s scientific work; Prof. Erkki Ikonen, former CIE Board member and CIE Division 2 Delegate of Finland, actively involved in several Technical Committees; Prof. Henrika Pihlajaniemi, CIE Division 3 Delegate; Ms. Elisa Hillgen, Managing Director of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Finland (IES Finland) and member of the CIE NC Finland; along with other representatives of the Finnish National Committee. Their engagement highlights NC Finland’s commitment to contributing to the international lighting community while also fostering national-level activities.

In addition to joining the CIE session during the summit, NC Finland will host its own session at the LUCI programme, further demonstrating the committee’s strong involvement and visibility within the international lighting community.

The CIE looks forward to connecting with NC Finland members for discussion and networking.
