Visit CIE at the Light+Building Trade Fair 2026!
CIE will participate in the Light+Building Trade Fair 2026 in Frankfurt am Main from 8 to 13 March 2026, one of the world’s leading events for lighting, electrical engineering, and building technology.
CIE’s presence at Light + Building is important as it provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the international lighting community, exchange knowledge with industry and academic partners, and highlight CIE’s role in advancing science-based guidance, education, and standardisation in light and lighting. Participating in this setting allows CIE to strengthen dialogue between research, practice, and policy, and to connect with both long-standing and new stakeholders.
CIE will be represented at the LiTG-Campus Licht community stand, organised by LiTG, together with the CIE National Committee of Germany. You can find us in Hall 3.0, stands A10 and A19, where a selection of CIE publications will be presented.
CIE will be represented by Dr. Diana Wernisch, CIE Secretary General, who will be present at the fair from Monday, 9 March (lunchtime) to Friday, 13 March (lunchtime). She will be available for informal discussion as well as scheduled meetings.
CIE invites all visitors to attend our presentation slot on Thursday, 12 March, at our stands A10 and A19 in Hall 3.0. Dr. Wernisch will speak from 10:55 to 11:10, followed by Dr. Armin Sperling, President of CIE NC Germany, from 11:10 to 11:25. The session will conclude with a joint discussion with CIE and DNK-CIE from 11:25 to 11:40.
As part of the CIE Presentation programme, Prof. Katja Malovrh Rebec, CIE NC Slovenia delegate for Division 6, will also give a short presentation on Monday, 9 March at 12:15 at the CIE stand.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet CIE Board members and fellow members of the CIE community, and to exchange views on current activities and developments in the field of light and lighting.
The Light + Building Trade Fair in Frankfurt am Main is the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology. More than 2,700 exhibitors present themselves at the innovation fair and show their world innovations for lighting, electrical engineering and home and building automation.
The three top themes of Light + Building 2026 – ‘Living Light’, ‘Smart Connectivity’ and ‘Sustainable Transformation’ – will be a common thread running through the events. They show how digitalisation, sustainability and lighting design are shaping the future of construction and living.
