The CIE General Assembly was held on 6 July 2025 at Austrian Standards in Vienna, ahead of the CIE 2025 Scientific Conference.
CIE extends its sincere thanks to all those who took part in this important meeting. Out of 36 National Committees, 29 were represented in person and 3 via proxy vote—bringing the total number of participating National Committees to 32.
The official part of the General Assembly included reports from the President and the Secretary General, as well as updates from CIE Governing Board Members with portfolios. The agenda covered responses to members’ questions, discussions and decisions on financial and statutory matters, and information on upcoming CIE events and conferences. One of the day’s highlights was the National Committee Award Ceremony, where the CIE Governing Board recognised individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the work of CIE in their respective countries.
The non-formal part of the General Assembly featured interactive workshops, providing space for open discussion on key topics and enabling NCs to share feedback and ideas for the future of the organisation.
